Plas Brondanw gardens
I contribute photographs of gardens and designed landscapes to the UK Parks and Gardens database whenever I can. At Easter I visited Plas Brondanw gardens in north Wales. The former home of Clough Williams-Ellis, who is best know for his lifetimes work at nearby Port Meirion. The gardens are a real treat. From the Chasm pool at the gardens entrance, to the folly on the hill. You sense the hand of the creator at every turn. Bespoke handles to the Mermaid Gates illustrated above. Truly an architects garden, with garden rooms and walks, and vistas framed on the summits of surrounding mountains within Snowdonia National Park. Lovingly maintained by the Clough Williams-Ellis Foundation and free to RHS visitors.
